Root Chakra Balance and Imbalance Symptoms: A Guide to Finding Your Center

Root Chakra Balance and Imbalance Symptoms: A Guide to Finding Your Center

  • written by Kalpesh Dave.

The root chakra, also known as the Muladhara chakra, is the foundational energy center for our entire being. It is located at the base of the spine and is associated with our sense of safety and security in the world.

When this chakra is in balance, we feel grounded, stable, and connected to the earth. We have a strong sense of self and are able to navigate life's challenges with ease. However, when the root chakra is imbalanced, it can manifest in a variety of physical, emotional, and mental symptoms.

In this article, we will discuss the signs of both balance and imbalance of the root chakra, and ways to bring it back into alignment.

Symptoms of a Balanced Root Chakra:

• Feeling secure and stable

• Connected with the earth

• Abundant energy

• Healthy immune system

• Feeling grounded and centered amidst uncertainty

Symptoms of an Imbalanced Root Chakra:

• Fear, anxiety, and uncertainty

• Feeling disconnected from the earth

• Chronic fatigue and lethargy

• Low immune system

• Feeling ungrounded and scattered in thought

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, don't worry, there are ways to restore balance to your root chakra. Here are some tips to help get you started on your journey to balance:

1. Practice grounding exercises such as walking barefoot on grass or dirt or spending time in nature.

2. Develop a regular yoga or meditation practice to help calm the mind and improve focus.

3. Use aromatherapy or crystal healing to help restore balance to the root chakra. Scents such as rosemary and cedarwood can help promote grounding and stability. Crystals such as red jasper or black tourmaline can help ground and protect one’s energy centers.

4. Make sure to eat healthy and nutritious food that supports the immune system. Eating foods such as sweet potato, yam, carrots, and other root vegetables can help strengthen the root chakra.

5. Use affirmations to remind yourself that you are safe and secure in the world. Repeat them daily to create a positive pattern of thought.

In conclusion, the root chakra is an essential energy center that helps us stay grounded and connected to the earth. Knowing the symptoms of both balance and imbalance can help you take proactive steps to restore harmony, balance, and well-being in your life. Remember to take care of yourself and prioritize your health!

Protecting and Grounding

Protecting and Grounding

Protection

The best protection is to be grounded, actually. By being grounded the clients ills will tend to stay with them and be transformed by the client. By being grounded you will be fuller of energy, and your own essence, which will naturally cause the energy flow to be from you into the client, rather than from the client into you.

Example:
  • For getting protection from the clients / patients you cover yourself with the White Light or Purple Light. Request reiki to cover you in the protection layer.
  • Take a Bath of Sea Salt after giving the treatment to others.
  • Keep some kind of Crystal Quartz Wands Sticks or Quartz Malas while giving the reiki and treatment to others.

Grounding

Grounding is not a topic considered as part of Reiki. However, in my experience as an energy healer who has Reiki training, there are many realities of the Energy which are not covered in Reiki training. The dual concepts of grounding and protection are among these.

Let us back up a little for a quick review of Energy Healing. Generally speaking this field, Energy Healing, involves the practice of channeling an energy form commonly called "Chi" into a recipient, who is the client, and who is receiving the healing. This energy, Chi, is involved with everything in the Universe. The word translates to English as "Universal Life Force", and this is a very apt term for it appears in everything in some form.

The energy, Chi, is not unique to the practice of Reiki, and there are many systems of energy healing other than Reiki. The energy follows various rules, which in some ways resemble the laws of electrical energy, and these rules are active regardless of which system of energy healing you follows. In fact, it is my belief that the different systems of energy healing are merely different "maps" that try to understand the territory of the activity of Chi. That there are different systems merely reflects that each individual has their own way of seeing the world, and thus each teacher of energy healing finds a different way to teach which results in a different format of practice.
