How to meditate, for people who can’t silent their thoughts.

Meditation is undoubtedly an excellent method to reduce stress, anxiety, and achieve inner peace. However, for many people, the idea of meditating can be daunting, especially if they are not able to silence their thoughts. In this blog article, we will discuss some tips and tricks on how to meditate if you are struggling to quiet your mind.

1. Focus on your breath: One of the most effective ways to meditate is by focusing on your breath. Pay attention to the sensation of your breath as you inhale and exhale. Whenever your thoughts start to wander, gently bring your attention back to your breath.

2. Guided Meditation: Guided meditation can be an excellent tool for beginners who are new to meditation. There is a variety of guided meditations available online that can help you focus on your breathing and guide you through the meditation process.

3. Counting Meditation: Another technique that can help you to focus is counting meditation. To do this, simply count your breaths as you inhale and exhale. Start with a count of one and then gradually increase it to ten. If your thoughts wander off, start over again.

4. Mantra Meditation: Many people find it helpful to use a mantra, a word or phrase repeated during meditation, to help them focus. Choose a mantra that resonates with you, such as "I am calm" or "I am at peace." Repeat it silently to yourself as you meditate.

5. Practice Daily: Consistency is key when it comes to meditation. It is recommended that you practice meditation for at least a few minutes every day. Over time, you will notice that it becomes easier to quiet your mind and focus.

In conclusion, meditation can be a powerful tool to help reduce stress and anxiety, but it can be challenging if you are unable to quiet your thoughts. By following these tips and techniques, you can learn how to focus and meditate effectively. So, start incorporating meditation into your daily routine and enjoy the many benefits it has to offer.

Grounding and Centering Meditation

Grounding and Centering Meditation

This is a quick grounding meditation. You should practice this to balance your energy, release anxiety, or any time you feel like screaming.

Sit peacefully and relax. Let the ground or chair support you. Let your muscles go. You don't have to exert any effort to sit there. Take in an easy, deep breath...and let it out your mouth, parting your lips slightly as you exhale.

Let your arms feel heavy, pulling down your shoulders. Breathe... Let that heavy feeling flow down your torso and legs, so you feel heavy and relaxed all the way down to your feet on the ground.

Now picture and feel roots growing from your feet down into the ground. Just like a tree's roots...going down into the layers of cool dirt...growing around rocks...traveling further and further down into the earth. Let the roots grow as deeply as you wish.

Now feel the healing, rhythmic energy of the earth itself flowing up through your roots...slowly traveling up...through your roots, up to your feet and quickly filling your entire body. Feel this positive, grounded, earth energy throughout your being. Take in a deep, cleansing breath... and release.

When you are ready, open your eyes and know that this grounded energy will remain with you throughout your day.

Enjoy!!!

How to Open and Activate Third Eye Chakra

How to Open and Activate Third Eye Chakra, Opening Third Eye Technique

People solve their problems through rational decision making. Sometimes they lack rationality and solve something through complete intuition. This can lead to either right or wrong decision. But the question arises, how and from where they get these intuitions? People are said to use the third eye for decision making. There are some techniques for opening third eye.

Benefits of activating third eye chakra:
  • Third eye chakra or Ajna chakra is located between the eyebrows. It is the seat of soul. Meditation on this chakra brings nectar, unlimited visions and the ability of controlling adverse circumstances.
  • The three major nadis Ida, Pingla and Sushumna meet in the third eye chakra, thus before awaking of kundalini Shakti the third eye chakra should be greatly purified and open properly.
  • Ajna or third eye chakra is the centre of wisdom and intuition. When this chakra is awaken mind becomes study, calm, reliable and free of all attachments.
  • Awakening third eye chakra improves your memory; increase the mystical power of mind. You will perceive psychic guidance, psychic visions, extra sensory perception, clairvoyance and divine intuition.
  • Will power becomes very strong and all goals of the aspirant are achieved.
  • The aspirant acquires the full control of prana. He can easily distribute the prana inside and outside the body at his will.
  • Awakening of third eye chakra gives many siddhis and mystical powers to the seeker.
  • The quality of beauty, friendliness, generosity, happiness and radiance are being incorporated in the personality of the seeker.

Significance of a mantra:
  • A mantra works by creating its very special and own type of resonance in space by throwing out subtle sound or vibration.
  • A mantra is a pure form of energy having the qualities of mobility, fluidity, softness, emitting calories and movement of by the power impulses.
  • The purpose of a mantra is to bring the mind to state of devotion and concentration.
  • Sound vibrations created by utterance of a mantra enable the aspirant to attain the state of concentration, absorption, super consciousness and illumination.
  • Mantra is a form of a prayer which invokes the presiding deity of that mantra. Mantra chanting can awake amazing powers of mind and soul through the opening of that specific chakra of consciousness which related with the specific presiding deity.
  • If a mantra is awakened in the breath while concentrating on a specific chakra the whole body is recharged. The psychic toxins and blocks of that chakra are eliminated. The chakra opens with its full potentiality and the stage of union of individualized being with God is reached.
Science of activating the third eye with ॐ OM mantra

      • Control the thoughts and focus the mind by chanting OM mantra.
      • The energizing and purifying breaths of concentric breathing patterns purify and regenerate the mind and soul.
      • Concentric breathing patterns are a set of rhythmic and synchronizing breaths associated with constant visualization of circles one inside the other.
      • The rhythmic visualization of expansion and contraction of prana as fine streaks of light at third eye chakra results in unlocking the psychic lock of third eye chakra.
      • The whole technique will arrest the subconscious and conscious states of mind at third eye chakra resulting in the instant opening of that chakra.

Have a look at the following steps / techniques, for an effective solutions to open third eye:

Choose Your Place to Open Third Eye
To open third eye chakra, you need to meditate. For meditation, you must have a calm and quiet environment. So, choose your place accordingly so that you nobody disturbs you in the middle of your meditation.

Get in the Meditating Position to Open Third Eye
After you have found a suitable place for your meditation, you should sit with your knees folded. This is a very important part for opening third eye. You should place each of your hands in each of the legs.

Relax Your Soul to Open Third Eye
Relaxing is very important as a part of meditation. After you have sat in an appropriate position, you need to stay like that way for a while. Relax your body, do not move too much. If you move too much, you will eventually lose your concentration. You should also start relaxing your mind. If you have a relaxed mind, it will be easier for you to be successful in your meditation.

Be Attentive When You are Observing Your Surroundings
People do not give much importance to the things that are happening around them. As a result, they lose much important information through this process.

Dreams Can be an Eye Opener
Many people regard dreams as indication of something. Often, this becomes true too. So, keep a record of your dream. However, people forget their dream as soon as they wake up. Write down whatever you have seen and whatever you remember. This is how you can keep a record of your dream.

Listening to Your Inner Message to Open Third Eye
Have you ever had a feeling around the range of an individual, place, or occasion that you could not demonstrate? Have you ever had a peculiar notion that a certain occasion may occur, without any robust confirmation to help it? These sorts of sentiments are called gut intuitions, and everyone has them. Tragically, numerous individuals have a tendency to disregard their senses. Whenever you feel you have one of these emotions, record it and check whether it ends up being correct. Attempt to perceive how these hunches interface with your life. Remember that simply since you have a premonition, does not fundamentally imply that it is correct. In Contrast, assuming that it is correct, it may not unfold in genuine for a considerable length of time, months, or even years. The most ideal approach to know beyond any doubt is to record these sentiments when you get them and to backtrack and read them at times.

Meditate More Often to Open Third Eye
Do not expect that you will get to open your third eye right after following these steps. Instinct takes time to develop. You should be patient and do your meditation more often so that you can open the door for opening third eye.

There is a world inside everybody. Human is said to be capable of only using a part of its brain function. The unused part always unconsciously helps us in our daily lives. Often it gets disregarded by the people, but hunches do sometimes come true. Opening your third eye is an art. You need to make yourself capable of opening your third eye.

61-point relaxation exercise through Meditation or Reiki

        61-point relaxation exercise
        Introduction (practice below)

The Sixty-One-Point Relaxation Exercise is one of the most profound methods of rejuvenation. t is actually much more than a relaxation exercise. It is considered an advanced practice because it means that the student by this time has already learned how to breathe diaphragmatically and has learned how to practice some form of systematic relaxation. An experienced practitioner of systematic relaxation has learned how to lie down and relax the body without falling asleep. Similarly, most advanced practices require you to have the ability to stay awake when doing something more subtle, more inward.

The posture for sixty-one-points is called the corpse pose, or shivasana, in which you lie down on your back with your palms toward the sky and your feet as wide as your shoulders. Put a little pillow under your head, which will prevent pressure in your esophagus. You have a constant air bubble in your stomach, and when you are practicing deep relaxation, the sphincter that closes the junction between the esophagus and the stomach relaxes. If it relaxes, the air bubble in the stomach could come up and put subtle pressure in your esophagus. To keep the esophagus closed, you must raise the head up about an inch or two. Thus, the purpose of the pillow is not for the comfort of your head but rather to raise the head. In the beginning of learning this exercise, this is not a big deal, but later on, as you experience deeper and deeper states of relaxation, you should practice sixty-one-points with a pillow

Also, this is a pranayama exercise, working with the prana, the subtle energy of the body. When lying in the corpse pose, you should have a light blanket covering you, so that other air currents do not affect the current of the mind as it travels through the body. Once again, in the beginning, it is a minor point. When you are learning this exercise, the most important thing is to practice the sixty-one-points. But eventually, as you deepen your relaxation, you should follow all of these recommendations.

Thirdly, protect yourself from noises. Make sure the telephones are off, and do not answer the doorbell. If your spouse is practicing with you, and you have small children, I recommend that one of you keep an eye on the kids while the other one does sixty-one-points and then switch.

Once you have acquired the experience of relaxation, then sixty-one-points really helps deepen that experience. You will be using your mental awareness to travel through sixty-one different points throughout the body. At each point, you will bring your mental awareness there. To make sure both the right (creativity and colors) and left (analytical and numbers) hemispheres of the brain are involved at each point, visualize a blue dot and also the number of that dot. The blue color represents a deep form of relaxation. Of all the colors in the mind, visualizing blue is the most relaxing.

As you travel through your body, you may hit a marma point that is rajasic (energetic). When your mental awareness encounters this, you may have one of several events happen. The most common is the body flinches. Sometimes, when you reach that point, all of the sudden you get a vivid memory, thought, or emotion.

There also may be points that are tamasic points of dullness. Usually in the beginning, all of us encounter a few of those. When we hit a tamasic point with our mental awareness, commonly one of two things happens. One, you might become disoriented and fall asleep. Two, you might experience dullness. You will forget what you are doing, where you are, and what is going on. If you fall asleep during the practice, you are done for that day. Don’t try to pick up where you left off. Don’t be disappointed when these things happen. Falling asleep is cleansing.

        The Sixty-One-Point Relaxation Exercise

Use the chart to learn the location of each point before beginning this exercise. Link to image Lie down in the corpse pose as described above and begin your relaxation exercise. Gently bring your awareness to each point and visualize the number at each location along with a blue dot the size of a marble. Travel slowly to each point as you follow them in numerical order.

        Chakra Balancing Meditation (Rose Meditation) - चकरा कुण्डलिनी ध्यान

         Chakra Balancing Meditation (Rose Meditation)

To balance or "see" the condition of your chakras, I've found this meditation particularly helpful. Starting from your root and after you have gotten yourself into whatever meditative relaxing position you like....

See your root chakra as a beautiful Red Rose bud, completely closed and as you visualize this on the in breath, see it....now on the out breath and slowly, see the rose blooming into full bloom and changing colors to a beautiful translucent rose color, the color of a mauve colored rose. Then breath back in, and see it slowly close again and change to the deep red bud rose again. Do this over and over repeatedly on the in and out breath as described until you feel satisfied. Trust me, you'll know when.

Move onto the sacral chakra, on the in breath see your chakra as a Reddish-Orange bud rose and on the out breath see it blossom into a bright orange rose, the color of a healthy orange fruit. Again continue this process until you feel satisfied.

The solar plexus starts as a soft almost white yellow rose bud on the in breath and as you breathe out see it blossom into a bright vibrant sunshine yellow. Again, continue.

The heart chakra starts as a soft green, the baby green of early spring, rose bud and on the out breath blooms into a baby green with beautiful rose colored tips...once you get this one right in visualizing it usually has a HUGE calming effect.

The throat chakra starts as a light sky blue rose bud and then on the out breath blooms into a deep blue cerulean color rose. See this one as particularly strong in its coloring on the out breath. This will help you to speak your own truth and needs to others.

The third eye starts as a light amethyst colored rose bud and on the out breath turns into a deep purple color blossom and then back again to the amethyst color bud on the in breath.

The crown starts as a beautiful white rose bud pristine and pure on the in breath, and on the out breath see it blossom out into a gorgeous silvery white or gold if you're male, or rainbow colored if you prefer.

If you do this a couple times a week and especially upon rising and going to bed, you will notice a change in your feelings each day. You can also learn to see your chakras this way. The troubled spots will just make themselves known to you either through seeing with your visualization, or through your intuition.
        Enjoy!!!

        BASIC TECHNIQUE FOR OPENING CHAKRAS

        BASIC TECHNIQUE FOR OPENING CHAKRAS

There are many, many ways to meditate. Most schools of meditation and self-healing suggest that in order to gain the most benefits from these self-improvement techniques is to work with the body's chakras.

What is a chakra? A chakra is an energy point or energy center (called a vortex). Each vortex regulates certain portions of the body. When these vortexes are out of sync the body reflects this by becoming ill or decayed.

The method of meditation I find works best for myself and for the people. You can take this method and adapt it to your own needs and special requirements, but I find it to be the easiest and least complex.

Each chakra is "seen" to be represented by a different color. I will also include the color of each.

First let us go over the 7 chakras:

Crown of the head - white

        Forehead-third eye - purple

Throat - azure or sky blue

Heart - either green or pink

Navel - yellow, like warm sunshine

Below navel, between navel and groin - orange

        Groin area - crimson red

Extremeties (hands and feet) - white

Opening and working with chakras takes a bit of practice. But is is worth the effort. Believe me on this! When you are ready to open the chakras, select a location where you can either sit or lie down comfortably and where you will not be interrupted for at least an hour. Wear comfortable clothing - not pajamas! (You'll fool your body into thinking you're going to sleep!)

Begin by breathing regularly and evenly. Take several deep breaths. Begin by relaxing your toes, your ankles, your legs. Relax your hips, your shoulders, your neck. Relax your arms and your hands. This is the time that your body will start the twinge-tingle dance (as I call it) It'll twinge and tingle and itch. Try to ignore this. This is just your body's way of telling you it's not used to relaxing. Soon enough it will become accustomed to it.

Now is the time that you will use your visualization skills. Imagine that your are a fountain of light or a waterfall. See how the water or the light starts at the top of your head and covers your chest and eventually covers your whole body. See how you become a living ball of light. This should be the first and only exercise you attempt. Do not be disappointed if this image does not come immediately. Ideally you should practice this for about one week.

Once you have pretty much gotten the waterfall effect down, you are ready for the next step.

Perform your relaxation technique. This time you will follow up the fountain/waterfall exercise by opening up your chakras.

Begin at the top/crown of your head. See a white light that emanates from this area. Spin downward and toward your forehead, where your third eye is. See it's purple light rotate and bloom much like a flower. Continue downward to the throat chakra, where a beautiful azure blue blooms and spins. Go now to your heart chakra. Here you may see either a green light or a warm pink ball. Either way, see how it glows and spins. You should notice how all the colors are now merging, almost into a rainbow effect. Move down to your navel, where a bright yellow glow will spin and join the other colors. Below the navel, above the groin, find your next chakra, a warm orange. It spins and blooms. Finally the last chakra, at the groin area, a deep crimson red. See it glow, spin and join the other colors. Your fingers and toes will glow a white light. They too will join the rainbow effect.

When you are finished and are ready to close your chakras, imagine a large zipper the length of your body. You must close the zipper in order to close the chakras. Never leave the chakras open. Take several deep breaths and open your eyes.

Check how you feel. Do you feel energized or tired? Did you have problems visualizing the colors and the fountain of light? If you did, not to worry. You might need a little more practice. However, if you consistently fail in visualizing or are falling asleep during the meditation, check for possible causes. Are you meditating when you are very tired? Is the lighting too harsh? (use soft lighting, candlelight is excellent) Use soft music, classics or "new age" like Enya or Enigma. Are you being interrupted? Is there a lot of noise out on the street? If your problem is visualizing, don't despair. Every person who learned meditation experienced this. Practice.

Once you have mastered this technique, you will find it is an excellent technique that can be combined with magickal workings.

I'd like to share a personal tidbit, which I have used for years and tell everybody I know:

If you are ill, head cold, chest cold, sore throat, fever, tooth ache, etc, open the affected chakra. (if you are suffering from a head cold, open that chakra) Imagine a black ball floating upward from your feet to the "sick" area. Let the black ball sit over the affected chakra while it draws out the illness. You will see that the color of the chakra may be off or even spotted with black dots. This black ball will serve as a vaccumm or sweeper to eliminate these spots. You can see as the ball works the color of the chrakra begins returning to normal. Try it!
